The Folsom area offers many things to do with a very active and vibrant community. With over a population of 72,000 people, there are annual events and popular events that happen all the time in Folsom. Many of these events involve the community to come together to help other residents who live in the Folsom area. All the events listed will be family-friendly for younger kids and older adults.

Folsom Easter Egg Hunt

Every year there is an Easter egg hunt that is occurs in Folsom. The Folsom Easter Egg Hunt is a great place to bring kids and enjoy family time. Not only are there the actual live event of finding easter eggs, but there are also bunny visits, Easter crafts and much more.  There are over 50,000 Easter eggs hidden and even a couple of golden Easter eggs that are worth more than your regular Easter egg. Since this is a very popular event to bring your kids to, make sure to bring your cameras and take great pictures of Easter Hunting fun!

Love My Mom 5k Event

The Love My Mom 5k event is an event where moms are honored and celebrated. This event is presented by Folsom Parks & Recreation and sponsored by Kaiser and Palladio. The course is a 5k course which is about 3.1 miles on a flat surface. All ages are welcome and all types of runners, walkers, or people with strollers can also participate too. Everyone will be timed however, the focus is to promote fitness rather than competition.

All 5k participants will receive custom dry-fit shirts and a medal to award their efforts in participating. The Kid’s Dash participants will receive a special finisher’s medal however not a shirt.

Also at this event, there will be vendor booths, DJ music, and some light refreshments.

This year’s 5k event will be on May 9th, 2020 and will continue as an annual event.

Folsom Community Service Day

Folsom Community Service Day mobilizes hundreds of volunteers from the Sacramento area of all ages and interests to help complete over 80 projects in various different types to help the community. From home development work to community park cleaning, the volunteers work together to finish these projects. This is a great way to participate in the community and it really helps many people in need.

This is an annual event that has 6 previous events in the past. This year will be its seventh event starting on September 19th, 2020.

The event is supported through sponsorships and in-kind donations. The goal of Folsom Community Service Day is to secure funding, supplies, and team leaders to complete many projects.
